Lavizzara
Lavizzara is a municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It is the only municipality in the valley. The municipality was created in 2004 by a merger of Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico.| Tap on a place to explore it |

The Church of San Giovanni Battista is located in the alpine village of Mogno in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It was built between 1994 and 1996 on the site of an older church, which was levelled by an avalanche in 1986.

Peccia is one of six municipalities in the canton of Ticino which merged in April 2004 to form the commune of Lavizzara, with about 1000 people. The other municipalities were Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio, and Prato-Sornico.

Fusio is a village and former municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. In 2004 the municipality was merged with the other, neighboring municipalities Broglio, Brontallo, Menzonio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico to form a new and larger municipality Lavizzara. Fusio is situated 4 km north of Lavizzara.
