The Fischer Theatre was built in 1884 in Danville, Illinois, then known as the Grand Opera House. The grand opening was held on November 5, 1884. The lot on which it was built cost $6,000, and the building itself cost $28,000 including furnishings.

Danville National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the city of Danville, in Vermilion County, Illinois. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses 63.3 acres, and as of 2014, it had 12,000 interments.
