Karpacz is a resort town in southwestern Poland in Lower Silesia in the Giant Mountains. In summer the town is a popular destination, mainly for hikers wishing to explore the Karkonosze National Park.Places of Interest

Vang Stave Church or Mountain Church of Our Savior is a stave church located in Karpacz in the Karkonosze mountains in Poland. It was transferred to its present location from Vang Municipality in the Valdres region of Norway and re-erected in 1842.

Ścięgny is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Podgórzyn, within Karkonosze County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. The village was first mentioned in a document of the Wrocław cathedral chapter from 1305, when it was part of fragmented Piast-ruled Poland. Ścięgny is situated 4 km northeast of Karpacz.
