Constructed in 2001 with the goal of providing residents of Rio's North Zone with a clean bathing area, it is considered the main leisure area of the North Zone and has recorded up to 60,000 visitors on a single weekend. Piscinão de Ramos is situated 3 km west of Ilha do Catalão.
