The Guanabara Palace is the official seat of the government of Rio de Janeiro state. It is located on Pinheiro Machado Street, in the Laranjeiras neighborhood, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro, capital of the homonymous state.

Estádio de Laranjeiras, officially named Estádio Manoel Schwartz is a historic football stadium in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The stadium currently holds 6,000 spectators but, due to its reduced capacity and a lack of safety permits, has not hosted professional football matches since 2003. Estádio de Laranjeiras is situated 130 metres north of Palácio Guanabara.

Laranjeiras is an upper-middle-class neighborhood located in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Primarily residential, It is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, having been founded in the 17th century, with the construction of country houses in the valley located around the Carioca River, which bordered Corcovado Mountain.
