Archaeological site
The Higashi Kushiro Shell Middens is an archaeological site located in the Kaizuka neighbourhood of the city of Kushiro, Hokkaidō, Japan. It was designated a National Historic Site in 1970, with the area under protection expanded in 1976. Higashi Kushiro Shell Mound is situated 110 metres south of Higashi-Kushiro Station.

The site of Moshiriya Chashi in Kushiro, Hokkaidō, Japan, is once occupied by the Ainu fortified chashi of Moshiriya. Occupying an elevated site, it is said to have been constructed during the Hōreki era by the Ainu chieftain Tomikara Aino. Moshiriya Chashi is situated 2 km southwest of Higashi-Kushiro Station.
