Iten{/itɛn/} is a town in Elgeyo-Marakwet County in the Republic of . It serves as the county's capital and is its largest urban center. The town is located along the road between and at the junction of the road heading to at the western escarpment of the Gregory Rift at an altitude of 2400m.
