Platonic Academy

The Academy was founded by Plato in ca. 387 BC in Athens. Aristotle studied there for twenty years before founding his own school, the Lyceum. The Academy persisted throughout the Hellenistic period as a skeptical school, until coming to an end after the death of Philo of Larissa in 83 BC. Platonic Academy is situated 1 km west of Athens railway station.

The Peloponnese Railway Station was a station on the Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways metre gauge line in Athens. Originally opened on 30 June 1884 it was the first railway terminal in the Greek capital. Peloponnese railway station is situated 360 metres south of Athens railway station.
