Sayram is a rural locality located in eastern Shymkent on the Sayram Su River, which rises at the nearby 4000-meter mountain Sayram Su. In medieval times, the city and countryside were located on the banks of the Arys River, into which the Sayram Su river flows. Sayram is situated 8 km northwest of Yel’tay.

Lenger is a city in Tole Bi District, Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan. As of 2012 Lenger had a population of 25,298. Lenger is the administrative center of the Tole Bi District. The Museum of the Tole Bi District is in Lenger. Population: 24,642; 22,038. Lenger is situated 9 km southeast of Yel’tay.
