Vânătarea lui Buteanu, at 2,507 metres, is the eighth-highest peak in Romania and the fifth-highest peak from Făgăraș Mountains, after Moldoveanu, Negoiu, Viștea Mare and Lespezi. Vânătarea lui Buteanu is situated 3½ km west of Arpasu Mare.
