Lecompte is a small town in central Louisiana. It is named after a horse called LeComte, who was named after horse breeder Ambrose LeComte. That's right – the town's name shouldn't have a 'p' in it, but an historical sign-writing error has stuck.
Woodworth
Woodworth is a town 6 miles south of Alexandria and one of the fastest growing towns in central Louisiana.Lecompte Volunteer Fire Department Station 2
