Koumasa is a Minoan archaeological site in southern Crete, best known for its large prepalatial cemetery. It is located between the villages of Loukia and Koumasa, at the southern edge of the Mesara Plain and near the foothills of the Asterousia Mountains. Koumasa is situated 450 metres northeast of Koumása.

Kapetaniana is a small village in the municipality of Gortyn on the island of Crete in Greece. The village has between 50 and 100 inhabitants and is built on the slopes of Asterousia Mountains at an altitude of 750m, with views of the Libyan Sea and the Messara Plain. Kapetaniana is situated 3½ km southeast of Koumása.
