Gozo is an island of the Maltese archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. Smaller, more remote and less built-up than Malta itself, it is a popular destination in its own right, particularly for more mature British and German couples.

Fungus Rock, sometimes known as Mushroom Rock, and among the Maltese as Il-Ġebla tal-Ġeneral, is a small islet in the form of a 60-metre-high massive lump of limestone at the entrance to an almost circular black lagoon in Dwejra, on the coast of Gozo, itself an island in the Maltese archipelago. Fungus Rock is situated 3½ km southwest of Għasri.

Victoria, also called Rabat is in Gozo. It should not be confused with another town called Rabat on the main island of Malta.
Xlendi

Xlendi is a town on Gozo's south coast. Formerly a picture perfect Mediterranean fishing village, it has now been expanded to several times its old size by modern hotels and apartments.

Xagħra is in Gozo. It's an attractive village of 4,900 people that houses the Ġgantija temples, and is a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk to Ramla i Hamra beach and to Rabat, so if you don't have too much time to explore the island, this is a good place to use as a base.
