Għasri is a village and an administrative unit of , in the western part of the island of . The population of Għasri was 529 in July 2024. This included 284 males and 245 females; 421 Maltese nationals and 108 foreign nationals.

is an island of the in the Mediterranean Sea. Smaller, more remote and less built-up than Malta itself, it is a popular destination in its own right, particularly for more mature British and German couples.

The Azure Window, also known as the Dwejra Window, was a 28-metre-tall natural arch on the island of , located just off the shores of . The limestone feature, which was in Dwejra Bay close to the and , was one of the island's major tourist attractions until it collapsed in stormy weather on 8 March 2017.

Xagħra is in . It's an attractive village of 4,900 people that houses the Ġgantija temples, and is a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk to Ramla i Hamra beach and to Rabat, so if you don't have too much time to explore the island, this is a good place to use as a base.
