Kyu-Iwasaki-Tei Garden

Kyū-Iwasaki-tei Garden is located in Taitō, Tokyo. It is the former estate of the Iwasaki clan who were the founders of Mitsubishi. The premises have three buildings: a Western-style house designed by British architect Josiah Conder, a Japanese house and a billiard house, and cover an area of about 17,000 square metres. Kyu-Iwasaki-Tei Garden is situated 200 metres north of Yushima Tenmangū.

It is one of the four museums operated by the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage, is considered the oldest national museum and the largest art museum in Japan. Tokyo National Museum is situated 1½ km northeast of Yushima Tenmangū.
