Concordia Research Station, which opened in 2005, is a French–Italian research facility managed by l'Institut polaire français Paul-Émile Victor and Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide, that was built 3,233 m above sea level on a geographical formation known as dôme C, on the Antarctic Plateau, Antarctica.
