Karydi, officially Καρύδιον, is a village in the highlands of east Crete, Greece, part of the municipal unit Itanos. Under the Kallikratis Programme of 2011 it was made a local community. Karýdi is situated 3½ km north of Zákathos.

Ziros is a village in the municipality Sitia, Lasithi regional unit, Crete, Greece. It was the seat of government for the former municipality Lefki. The village of Ziros is 30 kilometers south of Sitia on the Sitia - Piskokefalo - Epano Episkopi - Chandras - Ziros road. Ziros is situated 4 km southwest of Zákathos.
