Oğuz is a city, municipality and the capital of the Oghuz District of Azerbaijan. The village was mainly populated by Udis before the exodus of Armenians from Azerbaijan after the outbreak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Oğuz is situated 5 km north of Zemichay.
