The La Pila fountain is a fountain located in the square of Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas. It was constructed in 1562 in Moorish style, made of brick in the form of a diamond.

Chiapa de Corzo is an archaeological site of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica located near the small town of Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas. It rose to prominence around 700–500 BCE, during the Middle Formative period, becoming a regional center. Chiapa de Corzo is situated 3½ km southeast of 3 de Marzo.

Chiapa de Corzo is a small city and municipality situated in the west-central part of the Mexican state of Chiapas. Located in the Grijalva River valley of the Chiapas highlands, Chiapa de Corzo lies some 15 km to the east of the state capital, Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Chiapa de Corzo is situated 2½ km southeast of 3 de Marzo.

Tuxtla Gutiérrez, usually just called Tuxtla, is the capital of Chiapas, and a busy government, commercial and services-oriented city. It is not a tourist attraction, but normal Mexican city, also acting as a transportation hub for tourists coming into the state due to its major airport and a bus terminal.
