Detva District is a district of the Banská Bystrica Region in central Slovakia. Until 1918, most of the area belonged to the Zvolen county, apart from Látky, Podkriváň and Horný Tisovník in the south and east which formed part of the county of Nógrád.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Kriváň is a village and municipality in Detva District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia. It lies on the road track I/50, approximately in the halfway between Bratislava and Košice. The village had been established in 1955. Kriváň is situated 4 km southeast of Detva District.
