Verkhniotoretske is a rural settlement in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine. It was formerly part of Yasynuvata Raion until the raion was abolished in 2020, and it is located 24.2 kilometres north-northwest from Donetsk city. Verkhnetoretskoye is situated 4½ km south of Troitske.

The village was under the Novobakhmutivka Village Council prior to the formation of the hromada in 2020. As of 2001, the population was 857 people. Novobakhmutivka is situated 5 km west of Troitske.
