It belongs to the Tendai sect and its honzon is a statue of statue of Senjū Kannon Bosatsu.The temple's full name is Gotokuzan Muryōjū-in Jion-ji.The temple is the 16th stop on the Bandō Sanjūsankasho pilgrimage route.
