It is situated near the southern end of Chatham Sound, close to the mouth of the Skeena River, on the Tsimpsean Peninsula between Mount Stewart, Mount McDonald, and Porpoise Harbour. Port Edward is situated 9 km northeast of Green Top Islet Light.
