Built in 1915 by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, it is one of two surviving early 20th century stations on the southern end of the former Connecticut Valley Railroad line. Deep River Freight Station is situated 4,200 feet northeast of Deep River Resident State Trooper Office.
