Rachgoun is a town in northwestern Algeria, in the district of Béni-Saf. It is a small coastal village at the mouth of the Tafna wadi, 7 km west of the commune capital and facing its eponymous island - Rachgoun Island - located 2 km offshore. Rachgoun is situated 3 km southeast of Île Rachgoun Lighthouse.

Beni Saf is a town in northwestern Algeria, about 80 kilometers southwest of Oran. The town was founded in 1876 as a shipping port for iron ore, which is mined just south of the town. Béni Saf is situated 9 km east of Île Rachgoun Lighthouse.
