Lomé Cathedral

The Sacred Heart Cathedral is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lomé, one of the seven Catholic church districts of Togo. Built in just over a year by the German colonial authorities, it quickly became one of the iconic buildings of the new capital of Togo. Lomé Cathedral is situated 1 km northeast of Ibis Lome Central.

The Independence Monument in Lomé, the capital of Togo, was built as a tribute to the country's independence from France on 27 April 1960. It features a white bust of a woman holding up a cooking pot, in front of a silhouette of a figure holding up their arms as if they were breaking chains that shackled them together. Independence Monument is situated 1 km north of Ibis Lome Central.

Lomé is the capital and largest city of Togo. With a population of almost 2.2 million, the city is the economic and cultural center of the country. Around a quarter of the country's population lives here.

Aflao is a coastal town in Ghana bordering Togo. While east of the Togolese side of the border the city is the capital, Lome, the once-called "Pearl of West Africa", the Ghanaian town is a typical African border town built solely to service the movement of people and goods.

Denu is a small town which is the capital of Ketu South Municipal, a district on the south-eastern corner of the Volta Region of Ghana, next to Aflao the border town with Togo. Denu is situated 8 km west of Ibis Lome Central.
