With the opening of the new West Building in 2009, it now has 43,340 square metres of meeting space. Vancouver Convention Centre is situated 450 metres southeast of Docks 1A.

Canada Place, co-named Komagata Maru Place, is a building situated on the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre East Building, the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, the Vancouver World Trade Centre, and the virtual flight experience Flyover in Vancouver. Canada Place is situated 800 metres east of Docks 1A.

Coal Harbour is a section of Burrard Inlet lying between Vancouver's Downtown Peninsula and the Brockton Point of Stanley Park. It has also now become the name of the neighbourhood adjacent to its southern shoreline.
