The Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater is an opera house in Baku, Azerbaijan. Formerly known as the Mailov Theatre, was designed in 1911 by Armenian architect Nikolai Bayev at the request of the Armenian magnate Daniel Mailov, one of the Mailov brothers. Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater is situated 400 metres east of City Palace Baku.

The Samed Vurgun Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theatre, is a performing art located in Baku, Azerbaijan, that produced plays in the Russian language. The performances of the theatre are mainly from the Russian works of art and literature, and the remainder are performances from Azerbaijani and European classical writers. Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theatre is situated 250 metres south of City Palace Baku.
