Washdyke Lagoon

Washdyke Lagoon is a brackish shallow coastal lagoon approximately 1 kilometre north of Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand. The lagoon has drastically reduced in size since 1881 when it was approximately 253 hectares, now it is less than 48 hectares in area.

Grantlea Downs School

School

Grantlea Downs School is a primary school in Timaru, New Zealand, that was established in 1959. In 2004 they merged with Seadown School. The Principal from 1997 to 2014 was Dave Hawkey. The current principal is Richard Kidd.

Its collections include natural history specimens, Māori artefacts, European settlement and recent social history and documentary history. South Canterbury Museum is situated 3½ km south of Washdyke Wildlife Refuge.
