Kokura Castle is a five-story castle in Kitakyushu, Japan. A castle was first built at the current site in 1569. Construction of a more substantial replacement commenced in 1602 under the direction of daimyo Tadaoki Hosokawa.

Kokuraminami-ku is a ward of Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka, Japan. It is the southern part of what used to be Kokura City, which was merged into Kitakyūshū city when the latter was created out of the merger of five cities in 1963. Kokuraminami-ku is situated 4 km south of Uomachi.
