Kokura Castle

Kokura Castle is a five-story castle in Kitakyushu, Japan. A castle was first built at the current site in 1569. Construction of a more substantial replacement commenced in 1602 under the direction of daimyo Tadaoki Hosokawa.

The Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum is a literature museum in Kitakyushu, Japan. It is dedicated to Seichō Matsumoto, who spent the first half of his life in Kitakyusyu. The museum is located next to Kokura Castle.

Tobata-ku is a ward of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan. It is the smallest ward of the city at 16.66 km2. The population was 64,330 as of the national census in 2000. Tobata-ku is situated 3½ km northwest of Haramachi.

Kokuraminami-ku is a ward of Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka, Japan. It is the southern part of what used to be Kokura City, which was merged into Kitakyūshū city when the latter was created out of the merger of five cities in 1963. Kokuraminami-ku is situated 4 km southeast of Haramachi.

Yahatahigashi-ku is a ward of Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka, Japan. It is the second smallest ward in Kitakyūshū after Tobata ward at only 36.36 square kilometres. Yahatahigashi-ku is situated 5 km west of Haramachi.
