Armillary Sphere

An armillary sphere is a model of objects in the sky, consisting of a spherical framework of rings, centered on Earth or the Sun, that represent lines of celestial coordinate system and other astronomically important features, such as the ecliptic. Armillary Sphere is situated 220 metres southwest of Jongno-gucheong.

Jogyesa is the chief temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. The building dates back to the late 14th century and became the order's chief temple in 1936. Jogyesa is situated 270 metres east of Jongno-gucheong.
