Sogang University is a private Jesuit research university in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country. Sogang University is situated 1 km northeast of Gwangheungchang station.

Sangsu station is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 6. Along with Hongik University station on Line 2, it serves the area commonly called Hongdae, albeit geographically less convenient. Sangsu station is situated 800 metres west of Gwangheungchang station.

Seogang Bridge or Grand Seogang Bridge is a six-lane two-way bridge over the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. The bridge links the Mapo and Yeongdeungpo districts. It is supported in the middle as it passes over the protected islets of Bamseom. Seogang Bridge is situated 1 km southwest of Gwangheungchang station.
