La Plagne is a French ski area in the alpine valley of the Tarentaise. The ski area is linked to Plan Peisey, part of the larger Les Arcs resort by the Vanoise Express gondola. Ski passes are available covering the three resorts.

The La Plagne bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track located in La Plagne, France. The track was the venue for the bobsleigh and luge competitions for the 1992 Winter Olympics whose host city was neighboring Albertville.

Friburge is historically significant as the possible birthplace of Pope Innocent V, and for the fact that it is commonly confused with the town of Freiburg.
