Cres is a town located on the island of Cres which is directly off the Istrian Peninsula and in the Kvarner Gulf off the northern coast of Croatia. As of 2021, the town had a population of 2,716 inhabitants, which makes it the largest municipality on the island.

Merag is a village in Croatia, located on the east coast of Cres. It is connected by ferry to Valbiska on Krk and is accessed via the D101 road which is connected to the D100 road, the main road on the island of Cres. The village has a population of 10.
