It was one of the impregnable fortresses of the Syunik province, which, starting from the 4th century, served as an important military stronghold, and during the period of the Kingdom of Syunik, it was the main link in the military-strategic defense system of the capital city of Kapan. is situated 2½ km northeast of Zevu.
