Vahanavank is a 10th-11th century Armenian Apostolic cathedral located approximately 5 kilometers west of the town of Kapan in the Syunik Province of Armenia, situated at the foot of Tigranasar mountain along the right bank of the Voghdji River.

Halidzor Fortress

The fortress of Halidzor is along a hill overlooking the Voghji River to the north, near the town of Kapan, which is 1 kilometre southwest in the Syunik Province of Armenia. Halidzor Fortress is 1,051 metres above sea level.

Hamletavan is a town in the Kapan community of the Syunik Province of Armenia. Hamletavan is situated west of Shgharshik, and east of Nerkin Giratagh. It was named Hamletavan in the honor of Hamlet Kocharyan, an Armenian soldier. Hamletavan is situated 2½ km west of Vank’adzor.
