Jimeta is a large town in Adamawa State of Northeastern Nigeria. It is very close to the state capital, Yola, so much that both towns form a shared metropolis.

Yola is the capital city of Adamawa State, North East Nigeria. With a population of 337,000 in 2010, it is the largest city in Adamawa State. It is also the seat of the traditional Adamawa emirate.
