It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Giubiasco–Locarno line of Swiss Federal Railways. Sant’Antonino railway station is situated 1¼ km west of Ciossa Bulzen.

It ceased to exist on 2 April 2017 when it and the municipalities of Camorino, Claro, Giubiasco, Gnosca, Gorduno, Gudo, Moleno, Monte Carasso, Pianezzo, Preonzo, and Sant'Antonio were merged into the municipality of Bellinzona. Sementina is situated 2½ km north of Ciossa Bulzen.
