Šilutė airfield is a former Lithuanian Air Force airfield located in Western Lithuania, 5 km east of Šilutė. It was used for glider pilot training since the 1950s; today it is mainly used by ultralight aircraft and gliders.

Macikai POW and GULAG Camps is location of the German, later Soviet prisoner-of-war camp and the Soviet GULAG forced labor camp located near the village of Macikai in German-occupied Lithuania and later, the Lithuanian SSR. Macikai POW and GULAG Camps is situated 3½ km northwest of Gaidelių Miškas.
