The medieval Hogevank Monastery is situated near the village of Sarnaghbyur, in the Shirak Province of Armenia. It is also known as Karmir vank or Dzoragyughi vank, Saint Karapet Church, completed in 1205, is the main building in the monastic complex.

Sarnaghbyur is a village in the Ani Municipality of the Shirak Province of Armenia. It was renamed Sarnaghbyur in 1940. The village has an artificial reservoir that irrigates 1,000 hectares of land in Ani. Sarnaghbyur is situated 2½ km south of Chashablur.
