It is situated close to the Thracian fortress Kladara. Slivarovo is situated 6 km southwest of Golemo Osicheto.

On 31 January 2011 a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak was discovered in the village of Gramatikovo. Gramatikovo is situated 6 km northwest of Golemo Osicheto.
