Village
Narek is a village in the Artashat Municipality of the Ararat Province of Armenia. In 1984, the town was named after Grigor Narekatsi. Narek was also a village in Western Armenia. Narek is situated 7 km southwest of Sheran.
Bayburd
Hamlet
Geghmahovit or Bayburd is an abandoned town in the Ararat Province of Armenia. Traces of an early medieval armenian Bayburd settlement have been preserved in the Khosrov reserve, at the confluence of the Aghjo and Glan tributaries of the Azat River. Bayburd is situated 8 km northeast of Sheran.
