The University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig is a public university in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. Founded in 1843 by Felix Mendelssohn as the Conservatorium der Musik, it is the oldest university school of music in Germany.

The Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst or Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig is one of the oldest art schools in Germany, dating back to 1764. The academy has four colleges specializing in fine arts, graphic design, photography and new media art with around 500 students.
