The Stein is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, overlooking Obersaxen in the canton of Graubünden. It lies between the main Rhine valley, the Surselva, and the Lumnezia. A cable car station is located near the summit. Stein is situated 4 km northeast of Alp Nova.

Lumbrein is a former municipality in the district of Surselva in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The municipalities of Cumbel, Degen, Lumbrein, Morissen, Suraua, Vignogn, Vella, and Vrin merged on 1 January 2013 into the new municipality of Lumnezia. Lumbrein is situated 3½ km southeast of Alp Nova.
