Sozopol is an ancient seaside town located 35 km south of Burgas on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. One of the major seaside resorts in the country, it is known for the Apollonia art and film festival that is named after one of the town's ancient names.

The village is situated at a distance of 2.5 km from the Black Sea, at the north-eastern foothills of Medni Rid Ridge, which is itself the north-eastern extreme of the Bosna Ridge in the Strandzha Mountains. Ravadinovo is situated 3 km southwest of Sveti Ilia.
