Avogbana is an arrondissement in the Zou department of Benin. It is an administrative division under the jurisdiction of the commune of Bohicon. The underground town of Agongointo-Zoungoudo is located approximately 9 km from Abomey, in central Benin. The city was discovered in 1998 by the Danish company DANIDA. Agongointo-Zoungoudo Underground Town is situated 4 km west of Avogbana.
