The Silberplatten is a mountain of the Appenzell Alps, overlooking the Schwägalp Pass in the canton of St. Gallen. Its 2,158-metre-high summit is located near the Grenzchopf, where runs the border with the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

Schwägalp Pass is a high mountain pass in the Appenzell Alps between the cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland. The pass is named after the Schwägalp peak on the north face of Säntis. The pass road has a maximum grade of 12 percent.
