The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is a German public conservatory for popular music based in Mannheim, Germany. Established in 2003 by the state of Baden-Württemberg, it was the first institution of higher education in Germany to offer academic degree programs focusing on popular music and music business. Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is situated 470 metres northeast of Mannheim Handelshafen.

The Yavuz-Sultan-Selim Mosque is a mosque in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The mosque was completed in 1995 and named in honour of Selim I. Until 2008 it was the biggest mosque in Germany, and attracted up to 3,000 Muslims for worship every weekend. Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque is situated 550 metres east of Mannheim Handelshafen.
