Piz Platta is the highest peak in the Oberhalbstein Alps. It is 3392 metres high, and is notable for its similarity in shape to the Matterhorn. Piz Platta is located between the localities of Avers and Mulegns, both in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.

The Mazzaspitz is a mountain of the Oberhalbstein Alps, overlooking Juf in the canton of Graubünden. It lies south of Piz Platta, on the range between the valley of Avers and the Val Bercla.

Juf is a village in the municipality of Avers in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland. At 2,126 metres above sea level, it is historically the highest village with permanent residents in Western Europe, as well as one of its coldest localities. Juf is situated 3½ km southeast of Ober Bandsee.
