Kyoto-kawaramachi Station is the northern terminal station of the Hankyu Kyoto Main Line of Hankyu in Kyoto City, Japan. Kyoto Kawaramachi is situated 160 metres west of Pontochō.

Minami-za

Minami-za is the primary kabuki theatre in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded in 1610 as Shijō Minami-za. The current building, with a 1,086 seat capacity, was built in 1929. Minami-za is situated 140 metres southeast of Pontochō.

Some of the most picturesque parts of Kyoto are located in Higashiyama, the eastern region of the city, across the Kamo River.
